I'm on vacation this week and have 1001 things to do. My goal is to get most of them done this week so my remaining six weeks of vacation will be pure relaxation.
I'm really working on my banjo playing now that I have a real banjo teacher. One of the things he advised was for me to upgrade my banjo so I took it to Woodsy's in Medina. The guy in charge of repairs, Mark, really knows his stuff and we decided to change the bridge, shave the nut a little, lower the action and put on lighter strings. Luckily I have a couple other banjos so I can still practice.
I'm also in the process of trying to tab out a great song I heard on The Banjo Hangout done by one of the members. The song is Red Rocking Chair. It's also known as Sugar Babe. Now that I know it's in Sawmill Tuning I'm hoping to get the rest of it down this week.
