Genealogy: Time to get back to it
While delivering to the Sheffield/Sheffield Lake Board of Education today I ran into James Burgett, one of my cousins (actually my fourth cousin once removed).
For a number of years I spent a lot of time looking into the Burkard/Burgett family tree. The Burgett line is my mother's side of the family. I gathered a great deal of information and organized it into a book. Around that time my sister died and then a year later my brother died. I was in no mood to walk around cemeteries or do research. I gave it a rest.
Seeing James got me thinking about my family tree and all of the files that I have down in the basement. This weekend I'm going to pull out the boxes and give them a look see. I'll be writing about my continuing research.
