A few months ago I helped the Keystone Library (part of the Elyria Library System) here in LaGran
ge start a chess club. We meet the second Saturday of the month from 10:30 until 12:30pm. So far it's been a blast and I look forward to seeing the kids. Most of the kids are six to ten years old and we are starting to get a few of the older ones. I'm hoping that by Spring it will grow enough that we can have a serious tournament.
Last month one of the kids played me a quick game. He had white.
