Games people play

Since it came out I've been wanting to see War of The Worlds. I'm a sucker for a good science fiction movie. Unfortunately my daughter who is thirteen doesn't care for movies where people get killed so we can't take her. What is ironic is she bought herself a game for the Sony Playstation 2 called Destroy All Humans where you are an alien out to destroy humanity while taking their brain stems.

My sweet daughter who can't stand a movie where anyone gets hurt is playing this game! I suppose it's okay because the game is more cartoonish than seeing Tom Cruise and his daughter running from aliens but what can I say?

Hopefully I'll get to see the movie this week.


I don't play many games, especially computer games so I splurged today and bought Doom 3. It's a first person shooter where you fight zombies and monsters with various weapons (handgun, shotgun, chainsaw, etc.) I've only played it a little bit and it's everything I expected. I don't plan to play it too much (I have a lot of work to do) but I am on vacation so I will play after my chores are done.
