I finally had a half-hour of down time yesterday and decided to do some work on one of my long time projects. I wrote a while back about getting hold of my grandfather's old home movies and converting them to dvd. The past six months I've done very little as every minute is sucked up by this new life.
Since I had a few minutes I grabbed one of the short snippets and did some quick editing, added a few titles and uploaded it to YouTube so that the family could take a look. It starts with my older brother running across the street, moves to my mother and her friends on the porch with my younger sister Cindy. Then you have the local kids in the front yard with Brad doing a cartwheel. You end with a quick bit of my older sister Debbie.
With Brad and Debbie both gone it makes the video quite poignant. When I have more time I plan to grab more clips and do more with them. All in all it's not too bad. YouTube degrades the quality somewhat but you get the idea.
